The PHOENIX GROUP was born out of a family
business which was set up in 1948 and which
pioneered the distribution of domestic appliances
in Malta. In 1982 founder Joseph Petroni set up
the new company Phoenix Domestic Appliances Ltd
together with his son Stephen.
The new company adopted a successful sales
strategy, maintaining a high profile, and
advertised renown brands of domestic appliances
and consumer electronics at reasonable prices.
The first PHOENIX shop was located in Gzira. A
second outlet with offices was opened in Pieta
some time later. Constant growth and the addition
of several new lines and representations led the
company to search for an ideal location to
construct a new purpose built building where all
services could be relocated.
In the early nineties
the company, now known as the 'PHOENIX GROUP',
purchased a strategically located site just off
the regional road in Sta Venera. The PHOENIX GROUP
commenced operations from its new premises in Old
Railway Track, during June 1995. The prestigious,
3400 square meter PHOENIX BUILDING made it
possible for the Group to venture into new and
exciting areas of business. All company functions,
including administration, sales, warehousing,
servicing and deliveries are now handled within
these premises. This has greatly increased the
Group's sales, efficiency and potential.
PHOENIX GROUP now enjoys good market shares in the
various lines of business it operates in. Its
aggressive marketing is backed by an excellent
reputation in terms of customer confidence in its
products and services.
